NewsNews / Arrived in Joao Pessoa, BrazilAfter Tarifa we moved straight on to Brazil. Because we moved straight on we had a lot of luggage to carry with us and we where lucky with the check-in on the airport and we could take everything for free. I think we had maybe 100kg, just me and my girlfriend (Pauline Boussard). When we arrived from Malaga on Madrid we had to wait for 8 hours before our connection to Fortaleza. After hanging out on the airport, watching a movie and playing some cards we could go into the airplane and move on to Fortaleza. The flight was really nice and I slept during the whole flight. Whe we arrived in Fortaleza our connection was in 1,5 hours. Normally enough but we had to pick up our luggage first and that one was in the wrong container so we waited to long and missed our flight. Then TAM Air gave us a new ticket for free witch was really nice, we got our luggage back except my boardbag. Then we waited for 12 hours in Fortaleza and it looked so nice that I’m already looking forward to go back and train in Cumbuco. Without a boardbag we moved on to Recife. When we arrived in Recife we went my taxi to Joao Pessoa. This is a 2,5 hour drive and when we arrived it was already dark. The sunset is already at 16.30. Kristin Boese was already there and she booked a room for us in a nice pousada on the beach, 1km away from the event side. As soon as we arrived I tried to figure out where my boardbag was but I didn’t got the chance to find out because they just spoke portugees at the airport lost and found service. The next 3 days I try to figure out where my boardbag is and finally yesterday night I heard that they found it. It was in Fortaleza and that night it should already come to the airport of Joao Pessoa. So this morning me and Kristin went to pick up my boardbag and I got it back, finally. Now it’s just praying for wind and maybe this afternoon we can go on the water and check out the conditions. This week I might post some more pictures about the spot and the PKRA. Keep checking and I keep you up to date! All the best, Randy | |
