News / PKRA Brazil - Final Kick Off!!

The 9th and last step of the PKRA World Cup kiteboarding is about to start. We came all together here in Brazil, Joao Pessoa. The only problem is that we are here now already for 6 days and we didn’t had one good day of wind.

Today the PKRA Final will start. Last year they organised it in Fortaleza Beach Park. There was not enough wind so that’s why they moved it to here, Joao Pessoa. Only problem, here is even less wind! It seems like we don’t have qualifiers for the men but for the first time this year there will be a qualification round for the girls.

The day before yesterday we had our only sessions since we are here. At 4 a clock we arrived on a lagoon where we where able to kite because we could kite against strong current. The lagoon was like a river mouth. The river mouth went into the sea and it was getting low tide. The wind was coming from the other direction and because of that we where able to kite there. I had a great session for one hour and after that we drunk a nice coconut on the beach, just perfect!

Now for the PKRA we just have to pray for wind but the forecast is saying that it’s just getting worst and worst.
