First of all, sorry for the delay, I should have updated my site a lot earlier. The next 2 days after my previous update I didn’t need to kite because I was all the way up in the doubles and they also did the waves and course race.

The last day of the contest (Sunday) it was my turn again. 9 o’clock skippers meeting and at 10 o’clock the first heat of the day was on! I was in the 4th heat of the day and ??? Da Silva (local guy). I started my heat pretty good with a Slim Chance, Back Mobe and then a 3-1-3. Then I crashed my KGB on the way out and I got pretty stressed. It took myself a minute to get control over myself again but after then it went pretty well and manage to do another switch slim, switch KGB and switch blind judge. I ended my heat with a nice Front Mobe to Blind. I won the heat and I was pretty happy because the level here is so high and the condition where really hard. There wasn’t any flat part and there was just swell without any space in between.

Then I was up against Alex Soto from the Dominican Republic. We where both riding good and he did 2 double passes. He won the heat but I had a nice heat as well landing 6 regular hp’s and 4 switch hp’s. I also did my 720 kiteloop for the first time with my 7.5 bandit.

This was it.. the end of the contest for me and I ended up 4th. I’m pretty happy about the result. I’m only a bit disappointed that I was so close to the stage but just missed it! Better luck next time.
